This day 34 years ago was tremendously sad for Mirjana, because on this day Our Lady stated that on Christmas Day, she would receive her last daily apparition and Our Lady would confide in her the 10th secret.
Mirjana was stunned, numbed, she couldn’t believe what Our Lady had just said, it kept re-sounding in her mind throughout the day. She wondered how she would survive without these daily encounters with Our Lady. Mirjana spent the next two days praying to God not to end her daily apparitions.
CHRISTMAS DAY
Mirjana’s final daily apparition was in her parents’ apartment in Sarajevo on the 25th December 1982, her Mum, Dad and brother Miroslav were present and they prayed the Holy Rosary in preparation for Our Lady’s coming.
When Our Lady came, She was clad in a gold dress and she smiled at Mirjana. The apparition lasted 45 minutes, in which, Our Lady revealed the 10th secret and asked Mirjana to choose a Priest for a special duty. Mirjana is to tell this Priest 10 days before the secret is to be revealed, they will then pray and fast for seven days and three days before the secret is to take place, this Priest will also have the task of divulging the secret to the entire world. This will be the case for each of the secrets as the time comes for them to be revealed.
Our Lady handed Mirjana a scroll, rolled up, with all the secrets written on it, with the dates they are to take place on. Mirjana describes it as a type of parchment, but, not man made material, neither paper or cloth, it is beige in colour, the secrets are written in order as they are to happen, with dates of the events, in Our Lady’s simple, elegant handwriting.
Mirjana took the parchment without looking at it and Our Lady said;
“Now you will have to turn to God in the faith like any other person.
I will appear to you on the day of your birthday, [18th March] and when you will experience difficulties in life.
Mirjana, I have chosen you, I have confided in you everything that is essential.
I have also shown you many terrible things. You must now bear it all with courage.
Think of Me, and think of the tears I must shed for that.
You must remain courageous. You have quickly grasped the messages.
You must also understand now that I have to go away. Be courageous.”
Our Lady and Mijana talked about the secrets and about some personal things that were only for Mirjana.
When Our Lady left Mirjana cried. She carefully unrolled the scroll and saw the secrets clearly written on it. Mirjana now had to accept, that she had completed that part of the task for which she was chosen for 18 months and that she must return to a ‘normal’ daily life without her daily conversations and counsels with Our Lady, but assured by the consolation that Our Lady promised to be always with her and that she would help her in the most difficult times in her life. The enormity of the task and secrets placed on her shoulders didn’t sink in instantaneously, it took time through prayer and fasting.
